The V1 App is available on Android and iPhone app stores. I have been using this program for quite some time, actually over a decade now. I find the tools great for what I like to monitor and what I like to track. It is fairly easy to use.
I like to use the superimposed face-on image provided in the program to make sure I have my down-the-line and my face-on views centered. I try to have my hands centered on the club for both views, it makes it easier to compare swings day to day, and to give you the best view of swing plane down-the-line.
There are a few problems with the program. It has to compress the video image after you take the video, so depending on the length of the video it can take a while. It is a pain, especially when you are working on feel and need to get back and try another swing while the feel is fresh.
I have heard other newer programs now don’t require this extra processing, which that alone might make me switch to another app.
I also don’t like how difficult it is to share the videos with others, or get it to your computer. You have to create an email and send it to yourself, or upload it to your “Locker,” which isn’t great either. It would also be great if you could make the line drawing actually stay with the video as you send it out.
Anyway, for now I like V1 and will continue to use it, but I am always looking for something better.
